Excuses and priority (IM#155)

Human beings rarely admit that they are abandoning what matters to them. Instead, we reinterpret avoidance as circumstance, delay as strategy, and fear as practicality. Excuses protect the ego from a difficult truth: our actions often reveal priorities different from the ones we claim to have.

Existentialist thinkers argued that people escape responsibility by hiding behind external explanations. Jean-Paul Sartre described this as bad faith; pretending we are less free and less accountable than we really are. In that sense, an excuse becomes a quiet refusal to acknowledge agency.

Comfort strengthens this tendency. We naturally move toward familiarity and away from effort, uncertainty, or failure. Nietzsche warned that people often choose comfort over truth, even while claiming to pursue something greater.

That is why priorities matter. Clear priorities expose false excuses because they force us to compare what we say we value with what we consistently protect through our actions. A person’s priorities are ultimately revealed less by intention than by repeated choice.

A race (IM#154)

The race of life is marathon and the only way to do is to look ahead and focus on the path in front of us.

Establish our own pace. Figure out the rules, keep moving forward and create the plan based on the experience.

It's only the first step that is difficult, the rest creates the history.

We owe ourselves (IM#153)

We owe ourselves the life we have always dreamed of. We owe ourselves the decisions we have always wanted to make.

Every setback, struggle, failure, and criticism can move us closer to that life if we respond to them well.

That is why persistence matters. We must become steady, responsible, and unwilling to walk away from what we know is ours to build. What we owe ourselves is not only the dream, but the endurance to stay loyal to it.

Experiment and experiences(IM#152)

Life is all about experiments. Our actions are our experiments. With experiments emerge an experience. The only way to learn more experience is to have different experiences which inaugurate by performing different experiments.

The very nature of experiment is that there is a chance of doing wrong, but still we can make attempt with different actions. So variation play an important role here.If we follow the same principle every time, we'll get the same results every time. The only alternative is to endeavor all the possibilities.

Failure is not a state (IM#151)

Failure is not a state, it is the decision. Failure depends on how we decide to reconcile after that 'so called' failure.

If we decide to give up after the setbacks then it's a failure. But when we start to deal with setbacks and loss, we achieve success. We become broke, we learn, we adapt and we figure it out. This is how everything works.

Comfort is a drug (IM#150)

We always seek for easement and comfort in everyday of our life. So most of the time we just settle for less for the sake of comfort.

Someone said it beautifully, " Good is the enemy of best." Whenever we settle for comfort, we miss something great on the retrospect. And when we continuously seek comfort it become contagious; it becomes the habit. This results in lack of creativity and innovations.

Seeking comfort shrinks our true ability. So instead of seeking comfort, we must seek adventure; a life adventure.

'Being' Vs 'things'(IM#149)

These days, we value things too much than being. Does things really worth that value? Does it worth more than ourselves or 'being'?This is the generational question and it's way too difficult to answer. But it's worth answering.

It is said that when we no longer "feel" the life we live, we try to fill up our life with things. Loving things is just the substitute for loving ourselves. But it doesn't mean that we shouldn't have things. We can value and care for things but never get attached to it.

We often say that "this ring is not just the ring, it has got something more." "That watch is given to me by my mom- it is more than just a watch." or "That car is not just the car, it is my dream. That penthouse is more than my living place."I keep wondering how can a thing be so intimate than ourselves than our 'being'? And this is so tragic as well.

Setting the system (IM#148)

System is the set of actions, things, plans, ideas and information that is set to do in a certain way.

It's important to set the system in our life and business. An organization without system is just like a human with broken backbone, its doesn't last long.

A system might include the core values, purpose, art of dealing with people or the costumers and way of making decisions. It ranges from mission to color code of the employees in the business.

Setting the system is crucial as it determines the future of our organization and even ourselves.

The world of our own (IM#146)

Most of us are not living our own world. We believe in other's perspective on ourselves. We believe their criticize on our stuffs. It's so easy not to live in our world.

We plan and try to change outer environment. We focus on changing the world. But, we remain same. Our habits doesn't change, nor is the behavior. What changes is our words. And words do not have the power to change the world. It's the action that has that power.

The change is not "out there", it's "within". It's in our practice, our habits and actions. And there we meet the world of our own...

The logic of the game (IM#147)

We are all playing some kind of game in life. For some, it is the game of freedom. For others, it is security, success, love, innovation, or recognition. Even when people appear to be chasing the same thing, they are often driven by different inner motives. That is why lives can look similar on the surface while moving in completely different directions underneath.

The problem is that many of us lose sight of the game we are actually playing. Instead of living by purpose, we get distracted by temporary pleasures, shallow approval, and the endless pull of entertainment. We seek things that give quick relief, not because they fulfill us, but because they momentarily cover emptiness or confusion.

When purpose is unclear, distraction becomes attractive. We start chasing what feels good now rather than what matters over time. That is why so many people stay busy but still feel lost. Movement is not the same as direction.

The real logic of the game begins with knowing your "why". When your values, purpose, and direction become clear, your choices become clearer too. Without that inner orientation, life becomes reaction. With it, your actions begin to align with something deeper and more lasting.
