About
Hi there and welcome! I’m Sameer Khadka. I’m an engineer by profession, and I design the electrical and electronic side of medical devices. Since 2018, I’ve been sharing ideas on a variety of topics, from business and economics to entrepreneurship and philosophy, through this platform.
“As the island of knowledge grows, so do the shores of our ignorance.” John Wheeler
That line captures the endless journey of learning I’ve embraced. Futurist Alvin Toffler offers a similar insight: “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” This process of continuous adaptation is akin to the transformative shifts of the Galilean and Darwinian revolutions.
Throughout my journey, I’ve found value in self-interrogation and reflection. We often gain true understanding only in hindsight, a notion echoed by the German philosopher Hegel: “The owl of Minerva flies only at dusk.” We comprehend the full meaning of events only after they’ve happened and we’ve had time to reflect on them. It’s a reminder that we can’t just talk the talk; we need to walk the walk.
I’d like to close with wisdom from the Buddha, which guides my explorations and the content I share here:
“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it aligns with your own reason and your own common sense.”
