Controlling the things we can (IM 645)

here are few things we can’t control. It’s what other people think about us, our company or the organization. We can’t control what other people write about us. We can’t control our past and the future.

The only moment we can control is the “present” and what we do everyday.

So, it’s important to share what you think and feel about you, your company or the organization to make other people (who care about your company, products, or organization) know about it. It’s because its important and nobody else does if you don’t. This is the thing we can control.

How we share or open ourselves or our company’s value to others who care about it determine its future. Everything else is out of our control.

So, control the things you can

The insight behind "seeking" (IM 644)

Seeking means continuously looking for something that you lack in your present moment. Most people perpetually search through out their entire life, whether it be wealth, health, happiness, success or fame.

The moment we search to look good is the moment when we actually don't look good. The quest for happiness is only possible when there is its dearth. People seek success if they lack it in their life.

Through personal experience, I came to realize that the meditation is not the state to look for happiness or fulfillment or seek bliss. It's endlessly living the present moment with true consciousness. Well, it doesn't provide happiness or fulfillment if we constantly seek those.

Seeking arises when you feel incomplete. And the incompleteness is filled not by seeking but by execution and being aware of our present moment, accepting it and finally living it. Seeking, as a matter of fact, doesn't make our life easier, instead it elevates stress, tension and anxiety. It's better to substitute "seeking" with "living".

Flow (IM 643)

Things in life happens in waves. There are many options along the journey. Nobody knows which one is the right wave to step in.

So, we need to ride the waves that comes along our way and figure out which one gave most value to us. Exploring all the path and determining the best path is in our control, everything else is just not.

Information that matters (IM 642)

Having too much unwanted information is fatal.

Having useful information and not executing on it might be even more fatal because we become overwhelmed by the information. So useful information must be executed soon by making a plan.

It’s crucial to have the information that matters.

Excuses (IM 641)

There is always an excuse if we seek.

But if we are determined to do what we love and willing to do whatever it takes then we can actually do it.

If we make an excuse, we can really find good excuses.

But, we all want to execute on the things we love and the things that are meaningful. So, stop making an excuses and stop seeking them as well.

The Huna Philosophy (IM 640)

Bless that which you want

Huna Philoshopy

If we have the heart to respect others' success, then we develop the mentality of grabbing success. Admiring the things that we desire is always the best way of achieving it.

Like attracts like. Same goes in our life. Whatever we choose to respect are the things we get in return.

Facts and notions (IM 639)

That notion that you have of something or somebody is not a fact.

The idea you have in your mind is just your idea, not a fact. And your feeling is also not true to the outer world; it’s just your feeling.

The word “notion” is just an exaggeration when it comes to explaining to real world. This notion varies from person to person; it's not an ideal fact.

The results of decision (IM 638)

Everything we encounter is the result of our decisions. We judge our decisions as good or bad.

If something empowering happens as a result of our decision, we call it as a good decision and be excited. And if something wrong happens as a result of our decision, we call it as the bad decision and be sad and overwhelmed by it.

It’s a human nature…

But if we come above that and think about it, every good and bad decisions have some lessons for us. The result of our decision helps us to discover new principles in our life that assist us to progress our performance.

The cause for change (IM 637)

We don’t change unless we want to.

We change only when we are dedicated to change and that needs some trigger. Only when we truly think change is necessary then we go for it otherwise we just neglect it.

The truth is if we need a different result then we need to change our perspective, habits and the way we act. But We got to have desire to change.

The five step process (IM 636)

The five step process for everything you do includes the following:

Setting a goal.
Identifying the problems and obstacles.
Diagnosing those problems and obstacles.
Coming up the design and
Executing

These process might not be possible by a single individual, so it is always better to have a team do each process. This makes everything effective.
