The opposite of “more” (IM#187)
The opposite of “more” is not always “less.” Sometimes the true opposite of more is better.
A life without direction keeps chasing accumulation: more status, more approval, more possessions, more noise. But purpose matures when the standard changes. Better asks for depth, quality, clarity, and meaning. It asks whether what we are pursuing is actually worth pursuing.
The moment we stop running blindly for more, we begin running with intention for better.
