It was not the end…(IM#75)

Failures and rejections are not the end. They are a chance to learn more, grow further, and develop a stronger attitude.

In 1978, Michael Jordan was cut from his high school varsity basketball team. There were 15 spots, and 15-year-old Jordan was not selected because he was only 5'10". Later, Jordan said, “It was embarrassing not making the team.” He went home, locked himself in his room, and cried.

But that was not the end of his story. Rejection became part of what pushed him to improve. What looked like a painful setback at the time became part of a much bigger future.

That is often how rejection works. What feels final in one moment may later prove to be only part of the preparation. The real end comes only when we stop improving after the setback.
