Execution Vs Knowledge (IM 935)

"If what you learn leads to knowledge, you become a fool; but if what you learn leads to action, you become wealthy."

Execution trumps knowledge everyday of the week.

Future Depends On Events: On Investments (IM 934)

Looking at the histories, we can say that the market depends solely on events. The Great Depression on 1929, Second World War of 1939, The Black Monday of 1987, The dot-com Bubble of 1999, The Great Recession of 2008 are all the events that drove the economy in different direction.

I consider the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020 is also an event which will change that future of economy like many other events did in the the past from Great depression of 1929 to the Great Recession of 2008/2009. World economy took a different route after each of this crashes. And so will the COVID pandemic does.

So what is next after the covid pandemic of 2020?

Let's focus for 10 years from now. I believe the coming decade will be the decade of biotechnology and gene sequencing. (see this to know more about the advancement due to technology) Because of the coronavirus, not only economy got devastated but also millions lost their lives ( more than 3 million people as of this writing). So the goal of the world will be to focus on human biology and bio-tech companies. The idea will be to invest in studies for antibodies, gene altering against various diseases that could happen in the future.

Electric Vehicle and Space Companies are other potentials. Focusing on the environment, EV could replace the current automobiles completely by 2050. So EV companies, EV- batteries and EV charging companies could also reach acme in the coming decade.

Various space companies like SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, BlackSky are doing their best in space flights and global satellites sector which could also be in next level in coming decade.

This is just the speculation based on the history and history repeats itself. But nothing is guaranteed.

On HCMC: Worth The Bet? (IM 933)

Healthier Choices Management Corp ( Ticker Symbol: HCMC), a food and health supplement store company is getting lots of attention from Investors. Currently trading a $0.0018 per share, investors see a lot of potential in this company.

All the attention came when HCMC sued Philip Morris International (NYSE:PM) over patent infringement. The lawsuit alleges that PM infringed on its patent 170 with its IQOS tobacco vapor product. Investors speculate these news and hope it will win the lawsuit against PM.

Investors have also decided to buy a lots of shares on May 3rd to ride the momentum of this stock. But is it worth the bet?

In my view, it's totally worth the bet. There is a huge potential. If it wins the lawsuit, PM will have to pay HCMC some billions which would boost the stock price. To know more about the Lawsuit, visit here:

The Modern Struggle (IM 932)

The modern struggle is no longer just about survival or access to resources. It is increasingly a systems-level battle against engineered distraction. Today, human attention functions like a limited-bandwidth processing unit while thousands of digital systems compete continuously for cognitive occupancy.

Social media platforms, streaming systems, gaming architectures, algorithmic advertising, and endless notification loops are optimized through behavioral analytics, reinforcement learning models, engagement metrics, dopamine feedback cycles, and habitforming design principles. These systems are not passively existing around us; they are actively tuned to maximize retention, dependency, and user interaction time.

From an engineering perspective, the human mind now operates in a high-noise environment with constant signal interference. Attention fragmentation reduces deep focus, weakens long-term thinking, interrupts memory consolidation, and creates continuous context switching. Just as electrical noise degrades signal integrity in a circuit, excessive digital stimulation degrades clarity, discipline, and sustained concentration in human behavior.

The danger is not simply entertainment or technology itself. The danger is uncontrolled exposure without boundaries. Any system repeatedly optimized for engagement will eventually begin competing against intentional living.

This is the modern struggle: maintaining self-governance in an environment increasingly designed to override it. It is the toughest struggle, and the tragedy is that everybody faces it.

It's A Whole New World (IM 931)

I have always been optimistic about what the future holds. Peter Ustinov said it more beautifully, "The point of living is to believe the best is yet to come."

Our future depends on what we all are doing now and what we all desperately need. Everything goes back to evolution to follow what Darwin said in 19th century. But this time it's not in nature's hand but instead in us, the humans.

We know we all need a compelling future and technology is the only way to provide it. Fortunately, it has been providing...

What seemed to be a science fiction just 20 years ago has now become a reality. The world we live in today is the place of miracles as technology is growing exponentially.

If you had told somebody that there would be a self-driving car just 15- 20 years ago,  they would have thought you'd gone crazy. Now, from Tesla to NIO to Volkswagen to many other companies self-driven car has become the main focus. And by 2040, more than half of the car will be self-driven.

Technology has become solution to many problems and will continuously become the solutions to many problems in the future. From food to health to education to safety, technology will rule all over.

Silicon Valley, NASA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the world's great universities and laboratories are the places where technology is bubbling which will soon be all over the universe. (Let's not stick just to the world).

3-D printers is one of the game changers. It is a printer that prints any objects from plastics, glass, ceramic, nylon, and even living cells using the software. Imagine 3-D printers printing out homes in just hours. How about 3D printers printing out a Jeans and a pair of shoes for you at home?

Nanotechnology, robotics and tissue regeneration are other tech advancement to consider. There are some Robot that does the medical surgery. Well, it's happening now- not in the future.

Animals can be grown from a single cell using tissue regeneration. What does this mean? This means you can grow meats without slaughtering any animals, by using in-vitro cloning of muscle tissues at very low cost, without losing nutritional qualities and without environmental effects.

No more need to kill animals, No more insecticides, No more nitrogen waste. Animal right Activists are happy, Environmental Activists are happy. And how about you? This might sounds impossible; But it's happening right now.

"Whatever the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve"

-Napoleon Hill

Advances in nanotechnology and 3-D printing mean the medical devices may someday will be travelling through your body, fighting conditions like Parkinson's disease and dementia. How cool would that be?

According to Ray Kurzweil, "Work is already being done to create genetically enhanced Red Blood Cells that may one day carry enough oxygen to allow a deliver to last 40 minutes underwater on one breath."

You are suspecting this? Live one day without your cell phone. You will realize how we all are connected with the technology. We all are moving from mobile phones to wearables to implantables in near future and it's not that far.

It's a whole new world and it's going to be a wild ride...

The Doge Story And The Opportunity (IM 930)

Since March 2020, the the price of this crypto has gone up around 30,000%. That means every hundred dollars invested on the March 2020 would have 30,000 in return.

Dogecoin (commonly called Doge), a cryptocurrency, started in 2013 as a joke between two engineers has gained a huge value now. The recent support from Elon Musk, Twitter and Reddit riders have skyrocketed the doge.

The Dogecoin rally, much like the GameStop rally earlier this year, has been fueled by the Reddit users, where users planned to send the currency "to the moon" — or at least to their goal of $1 per coin, which is not far away now.

PS: Opportunity comes and goes. I had around 200K doge which I sold way before the rally began but "no regrets". There are many opportunity out there. Yes, the returns might not be as good as from Doge, but we just need one good bet.

On Investment: Decoding The Legends (IM 929)

The past few days I have been reading the investment strategy from world's famous investors from Paul Tudor Jones to Ray Dalio to Charles Schwab to Sir John Templeton.

Different investor have different investment strategy and they apply what favors them the most. For example: consider Warren Buffet, he understands the fundamentals of growth companies and buys the shares of those companies and he never sells it. And companies keep growing and he keeps becoming richer and richer.

But there are few strategies that is embraced by all the great investors. The first common strategy is Diversification. The more the diversification, less the risk. Sir John considers to diversify not only in the stock sectors but he considers the stocks diversification in nations as well.

The second common strategy is Hold. Holding the shares for long term has so many positive outcomes. On one hand, the share prices goes up, no matters the present condition. On the other hand, if you don't sell, you don't pay taxes and the returns get invested again and again compounding your returns.

On Wisdom (IM 927)

“The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control. Where then do I look for good and evil? Not to uncontrollable externals, but within myself to the choices that are my own” — Epictetus

As Epictetus taught, we should not look for good and evil in uncontrollable externals, but within ourselves and the choices that are our own.

Wisdom is more than just a collection of facts; it is a virtue defined by the love of wisdom itself. It is the act of harnessing what philosophy teaches and then wielding it effectively in the real world. This is the ultimate form of self-governance. It requires the discipline to look inward for direction rather than being swayed by the chaos of the outside world.

Viktor Frankl noted that between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. This power to choose is where wisdom resides. In both business and daily life, the wise individual recognizes this space and uses it to act according to their principles rather than their impulses. When we master the ability to choose our responses, we master ourselves.

By distinguishing between what we can change and what we must accept, we focus our energy where it actually matters. This clarity is the foundation of a well-governed life. Wisdom is the bridge between philosophical theory and practical, real world execution.
