Seeing things from higher level (IM 805)

Seeing things from a higher level is more than looking through another person’s eyes. It is the ability to step back from your immediate reaction and view a situation with more breadth, more patience, and more proportion. Without that distance, we usually see only what our mood, ego, or preference allows us to see.

Most people remain trapped inside their first perspective. They see events only through personal frustration, personal desire, or personal hurt. That narrow angle makes judgment unstable. A small problem appears enormous. A temporary setback feels final. A disagreement becomes an attack. But when perspective expands, the same event can be understood with greater clarity.

To see from a higher level is to develop mental altitude. It means asking what else may be true, what context is being missed, and how this moment appears when removed from pride or urgency. Often the situation itself has not changed—only the way it is being held has changed. And that difference can alter the entire response.

This wider perspective is not passivity. It is discipline. It makes better decisions possible because it softens distortion before action begins. The more consciously we practice this kind of elevation, the less controlled we are by immediate appearances. A broader view does not remove difficulty, but it prevents difficulty from becoming larger than it is.

The two companies (IM 804)

At enlightened companies, the leaders questions, "How do we make things better for our customers?"

But in the companies that act to seem like them, the question is," How do me make things better for us?"

That's the difference between the true visionary companies and the companies that act like that. And it changes everything...

Meditating on mortality (IM 803)

One of the important lessons I've learned from the stoic philosophy is meditating on mortality.

Memento mori, remember that you must die, is not a poetic idea. It is a confrontation. From Epictetus to Seneca to Marcus Aurelius, this reflection was not used to comfort life, but to expose it.

Seneca understood this with a kind of severity most people avoid. “Death is not something that comes in the future. Most of death is already gone. Whatever time has passed is owned by death.” The tragedy is not only that life ends, but that it is quietly disappearing while we are busy treating it as if it were secure. We speak as if we have time. We plan as if it belongs to us. But most of what we call life is already behind us, taken without resistance.

He went further, almost cruelly honest. If the way we live is unconscious, distracted, and unexamined, then what exactly are we protecting by fearing death? A life not fully lived does not suddenly gain meaning at its end.

Epictetus forces the thought into something more intimate. When you hold someone you love, remind yourself that they are mortal. Not to detach from them, but to see them clearly. Every ordinary moment carries the possibility of being the last, and most of the time, we do not even notice that we are living through something that will never return.

Marcus Aurelius turns the weight inward. “You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think.” There is no negotiation in that statement. No reassurance. Only a demand. If death can arrive without warning, then every delay becomes a quiet form of avoidance, and every misalignment becomes harder to justify.

Meditating on mortality does not make life lighter. It makes it heavier, sharper, and less forgiving. It removes the illusion that there will always be more time to correct, to say, to become.

And in that weight, it asks a simple question.
If this were closer to the end than you think, would this still be how you live?

One Quote (IM 802)

"You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think." - -Marcus Aurelius

A nature's law (IM 801)

Every condition reverses itself.....

This applies to everything. All we need is patience.

The morning awareness (IM 800)

Marcus Aurelius had a very powerful habits that he reminds himself of every morning during his time is Rome and wrote this in his journal. I find this lessons as a morning awareness that should be embraced by heart, mind and spirit. And these lines goes like this:

“When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous and surly. They are like this because they can't tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own - not of the same blood and birth, but the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness. Nor can I feel angry at my relative, or hate him. We were born to work together like feet, hands and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct each other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are unnatural.”

Bigger problems, smaller "us" (IM 799)

Bigger problem means we are becoming smaller and narrowing our mindsets.

Whenever we encounter big problems it’s because we have made ourselves small. So, it is the signal to build ourselves high.

Problems depends on our size (our cranial size). We got to improve our "size" to decrease the problem we encounter everyday

Morning remainder (IM 798)

Marcus Aurelius remined himself every morning with some important thoughts that he included in his journal. In this hurried world where everyone is busy with their own stuffs and are overwhelmed by their circumstances, I find these lessons very helpful. Here is this important lessons that everyone should be aware of:

In the morning when thou risest unwillingly, let this thought be present - I am rising to the work of a human being. Why then am I dissatisfied if I am going to do the things for which I exist and for which I was brought into the world? Or have I been made for this, to lie in the bed-clothes and keep myself warm?

But this is more pleasant. Doth thou exist to take thy pleasure, and not at all for actions or exertion? Doth thou not see the little plants, the little birds, the ants, the spider, the bees, working together to put in order their several parts of the universe?

And art thou unwilling to do the work of human beings, and dost thou not make haste to do that which , according to thy nature?

But it is necessary to take rest also. -  It is necessary.

However, nature has fixed the bounds to do this too. He has fixed bounds to eating and drinking, and yet thou goes beyond these bounds, beyond what is sufficient; yet in thy acts it is not so, but thou stoppest short of what thou canst do.

So thou lovest not thyself, for if thou didst, thou wouldst love thy nature and her will.

But those who love their several arts exhaust themselves in working at them unwashed and without food; but thou valuest thy own nature less than the turner values the turning art, or the dancer the dancing art, or the lover of money values his money, or the vain-glorious man his little glory.

And such men, when they have a violent affection to a thing, choose neither to eat nor to sleep rather than to perfect the things which they care for. But are the acts which concern society more vile in thy eyes and less worthy of thy labor?”

Ralph Waldo Emerson (IM 797)

He has some very powerful lessons for all of us which goes :-

"Write it on your heart that everyday is the best day in the year. He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.

Finish everyday and be done with it. You should have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in. Forget them as soon as  you can, tomorrow is the new day; begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

This new day is too dear with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the yesterdays."

Resonance (IM 796)

Science proved that we can break a glass by playing a guitar. But it’s possible only when the frequency of sound waves of guitar is matched to the natural frequency of the glass and resonance state is attained. This is the reason for breaking of window’s glasses when airplanes fly.

According to physics, every object has its natural frequency. If the frequency of anything is matched with the frequency of object, then it is said to be in resonant frequency.

Likewise, as a resonant frequency there exist a resonant belief which I call belief tuning. Basically, belief tuning means being able to match with the belief of other people. Everybody has their own core belief (as natural frequency in physics). If you can match or tune with the belief of other people whom you want to attract towards you or your company or to your side, then belief tuning has a key role. It doesn’t matter whether you are individual who have a bigger dream or the organization with vision of making magnificent impact, belief tuning is the only way you could reach there.

There must be a perfect belief tuning in order to attain massive success, be a leader or gain power, or attract other towards your principle or values or whatever you are aspiring to become…
