Rome wasn’t built in a day (IM 691)

Every valuable accomplishment takes time. Nothing worthwhile appears in a blink. It asks for patience, hard work, perseverance, and dedication.

Rome was not built in a day. It took years. And so does anything meaningful we hope to build in our own lives.

Our future works the same way. What matters deeply usually takes longer than we want. It forms slowly, through repeated effort, delayed reward, and a willingness to keep going before the result becomes visible.

Every meaningful work will take time. The question is whether we are patient enough to stay with it.
