Measure Fear Against Opportunity (IM#300)

We are often told not to be fearful, as if fear is the only thing standing in our way.

But what about opportunity?

If we remove fear alone, is that enough to reach our true potential? No. Fear is only one side of the equation. Opportunity matters too.

That is why it is important to feel fear in proportion to opportunity. There should be a balance. If we only listen to fear, we shrink the future before it has a chance to unfold. But if we can see the opportunity with equal seriousness, fear no longer gets to speak alone.

The point is not to become fearless. It is to stop letting fear be the only voice that decides.
