Potential is not the peak (IM#230)

Human potential is not a peak to be conquered. It is a continuous journey.

We often operate under the illusion that by stretching our limits and refusing to settle, we will eventually arrive at our ultimate capability. We work relentlessly to meet our potential as though it were a final destination, a summit where the climbing finally stops.

But the philosophical truth of growth is that our ultimate potential is never fully met. It is an expanding horizon. The closer we get, the further it extends. Achieving our potential does not mean reaching a fixed finish line. It means living within the friction of constant evolution. Potential is not the destination we reach; it is the discipline we inhabit every single day.
