Procrastination: Our Real Vallain (IM 889)

Postponing anything is an ancient problem and it's a human nature to delay anything. It stands in the way of reaching true potential.

Seneca lamented, “No one has anything finished, because we have kept putting off into the future all our undertakings.” He further said:

“Putting things off is the biggest waste of life: It snatches away each day as it comes and denies us the present by promising the future. The greatest obstacle to living is expectancy, which hangs upon tomorrow and loses today…The whole future lies in uncertainty: Live immediately.” — Seneca

Procrastination is the thief of our time. It takes away our present time for the sake of getting it in the future that will never going to happen.

This is why Marcus Aurelius wrote: "Do everything as if it were the last thing you were doing in your life, and stop being aimless, stop letting your emotions override what your mind tells you.”
