Balance Is a Practice
Balance is often misunderstood. It is not about dividing your time evenly between work, family, ambition, and rest. It is about alignment—making sure your actions reflect your values.
Aristotle once said, “Virtue is the golden mean between two extremes.” Balance lives there—not in excess, not in neglect, but in proportion.
Sometimes we overcommit. Sometimes we chase goals so aggressively that we lose presence. Other times we become too comfortable and stop growing. Balance lives between burnout and stagnation.
Moderation is not weakness. It is strength under control. As Lao Tzu wrote, “He who knows that enough is enough will always have enough.” Boundaries are not limitations; they are protections. Saying no to what drains you makes room for what builds you.
You will not always get it right. The key is noticing when you are out of alignment and correcting course early.
Balance is practice.
