12 Lessons From Dale Carnegie’s Masterpiece… (IM 877)
Dale Carnegie's masterpiece "How To Win Friends And Influence People" highlights some very simple but resonating lessons which can implied in our daily life whether it be a business world or personal world.
I came up with this book back in 2017 and still refer to it when I need it the most. Some of the lessons I learned form it are:
- Avoid Arguments
- Never tell other people, "You're wrong".
- If you are wrong, Admit it.
- Let other people do most of the talking.
- Let the other person have ownership of the idea.
- Try to see from other's point of view. (A magical formula)
- Be sympathetic to other people ideas and desires.
- Criticize if you can help. "He has the right to criticize who has the heart to help."
- Smile is the best ornament you can wear. It is the messenger of goodwill.
- A person's name is sweetest and the most important sound in any language to him/her. So, remember a person's name.
- Be a good listener. "A person's toothache means more to that person than a famine in China that kills million people."
- Talk in relation to other people's interest.
