Science knows the future? (IM 786)

The job of science is to discover things. It discover new technology, new drugs, new treatments, and new machinery. They discover artificial implants. If your heart is not working, this can be fixed by replacing with artificial pacemaker. The future of all the discovery relies on politics and economics. The technology lasts long if it drives economic to the world or if it has gains for political issues. The discovery of atom bombs, nuclear bombs, and missiles were popular because it helped during the world wars during mid 20th century. We can see this happen with the covid-19 vaccines development. But the question always remain: Does science knows the future? If yes, are we focusing on building a better future?
