Who we are (IM 743)

Man is no more than a product of many conditional and environmental factor- whether it be biological, psychological or sociological  nature. We are the accidental product of all these. Everyday, every hour we are offered with the opportunity to make a decision, a decision of our inner freedom. We always have a choice. It is my choice to decide to write today this morning. We are the product of our sufferings. Creativeness and enjoyment are meaningful, of course. But if there is a meaning in life at all, then there must be a meaning in suffering as well. Sufferning is reas just as fate and death. The way in which a man accepts his fate and all the sufferings it entails, it adds deeper meaning to his life.
