Facts and notions (IM 639)

That notion that you have of something or somebody is not a fact. The idea you have in your mind is just your idea, not a fact. And your feeling is also not true to the outer world; it’s just your feeling. The word “notion” is just an exaggeration when it comes to explaining to real world. This notion varies from person to person; it's not an ideal fact.
