Moods and actions (IM 536)

The way how we feel about the things means the mood, which is driven by the external events in most of the cases. And that feeling determines our action. The way how we act, in turn, determines how we feel. This is the circular path: Feelings, Moods, Actions, Feeling...... As we see, this path is driven by the events, which is an external force. So as a result, our action is affected by external events not by our internal force. The interesting thing about our moods is that we can practice having our moods driven by our internal force, which is possible only when we become present in the "present moment". As a result, our action will be triggered by moods, which is the result of our own internal force.
