Information is not enough (IM 453)
Possessing a wealth of information is an advantage, but nothing replaces the weight of actual experience. In the long game, the transition from consumer to practitioner is the most critical step in our process. Doing is what completes the information.
Theory provides the foundation, but without execution, knowledge remains stagnant. Information only becomes a tool when it is applied to solve real problems. Until we become practitioners, our knowledge is merely a collection of possibilities.
True work ethic is found in application. We learn through the friction of doing, not by simply collecting facts. This active engagement is what builds the endurance needed for the long run.
By prioritizing action over the endless accumulation of data, we ensure our process is grounded in reality. Mastery is not found in the library; it is found in the arena where information is tested and transformed into wisdom. This commitment to execution is what separates those who study the game from those who actually win it.
