Imagination and reality (IM 428)
“We are more often frightened than hurt; and we suffer more from imagination that from reality.”
- Seneca
Reality is hard truth but the imagination is the ingredient that make us suffer all the time. The suffering from the imagination is so immensely impressed that we start to believe it as is it is surreal.
We become frightened from the imagination but the reality hurt us. But most often we are frightened than we are hurt because we’re too much engaged in imagination.
So imagination is not the truth; it is just the state of mind. The truth is reality.
