We are fools, all the time (IM 418)
Ray Bradbury once said, “We’re all fools, all the time. It’s just we’re a different kind each day. We think, I’m not a fool today. I’ve learned my lesson. I was a fool yesterday but not this morning. Then tomorrow we find out that, yes, we were fool yesterday too. I think the only way we can grow and get on in this world is to accept the fact we’re not perfect and live accordingly.”
We always want to be perfect in all the things we do that’s why we end up becoming depressed and broke because we won’t be able to attain that level of perfection.
The greatest realization is that we’re always in the process of approaching truth and perfection without actually ever reaching there.
