Are we missing reality? (IM 381)

Many research shows that we only see the things that we want to see. In this case I believe we miss the reality. We don't see reality; we only see some part of reality that we want to see and that we care about. The more we focus on one thing we more we become closed to other openness of the universe, and hence more reality we miss.
