Do we see reality as it is? (IM 333)

Before 16th Century, people all around the world believed that earth remains still and all other component revolves around the earth. But Copernicus and Galileo told that it was the earth that revolves around the sun. In the same way people used to believe earth is flat until Pythagoras told it is an oval shape. There might still be lot of such fallacy that we are believing. The reality we see today might be wrong until somebody convinces us.
