There is no upside without the downfall (IM#294)

...it's the law of nature. There is no good without a bad, no highs without the lows. The pleasure of wild party tonight might turn into bleakness and can bring a terrible hangover the next morning. If you consider a stock market, the price of stocks will go up only after it shows bearish pattern. So the downside carries huge importance. There is a huge price to pay if we neglect the negative side (and that is the unawareness with the reality). Confident are those who have overcome fearful state. Optimists are those who have acknowledged the pain of pessimism. The light of consciousness only comes from the fire of suffering. If we stop, look, analyze and become open then every downfall have important lesson to teach us...
